In time, Bollgard II will be fully replaced in the market with Bollgard® 3. It is critical from a resistance management perspective that the most efficacious and robust product be planted by the industry, and this is Bollgard 3.
The added flexibility of the Bollgard 3 RMP, in combination with the leading varieties that will be available means that demand for Bollgard 3 will be strong. Based on grower feedback to date and CSD seed availability we expect the transition to Bollgard 3 will occur quickly.
In the 2016/17 season, Bollgard 3 seed will be available for purchase from Technology Service Providers (TSPs). Bollgard II seed will be available for purchase in limited quantities.
For more information on likely anticipated performance of the Bollgard 3 varieties to come contact CSD.
In 2016/17 season, CSD will introduce a suite of four varieties containing Bollgard 3 for commercial sale. These varieties can be viewed in the field at a number of field days being conducted in early 2016. Find outwhen your local field day will be held, contact your Regional Business Manager or CSD Extension Agronomist for more details.
